Day 1: a photo of you. Day 2: a photo of yourself at least a year ago. Day 3: a photo that makes you happy. Day 4: a photo of a place you'd like to visit. Day 5: a photo that makes you laugh. Day 6: a photo of someone you love.
*hugs* that you can relate to that article. I'm not close to my mom and while she wasn't absent, per se, she definitely didn't help make the day the best one of my life. Not that that was her job, but you hear about how close some women are with their mothers, especially during the wedding planning process.
YAY for your sister visiting! :D Whatever you do I'm sure you'll have a great time!
*hugs* Yeah, I think it hit me the hardest when I went wedding dress shopping with one of my coworkers, who is about the same age as my mom. The women who worked in the bridal stores would always assume she was my mom, and say something or ask something, and I'd have to correct them that she was just a friend, and it always made me feel bad. I think I'm probably always going to be a little envious of women who have close relationships with their mothers, though.
I think that's normal. <3 The way I look at it is even though we may not have that relationship we probably have a relationship with others that some don't have. It sounds like you have amazing friends. Heck, one of them is willing to be on a bus for a lot of hours to see you for a weekend. I think not everyone has that. <3
Oh yes, I definitely have some amazing friends, and I am always very grateful for them, because they've been there for me through a lot and I don't know what I would have done without them at certain points. I guess sometimes I just feel like I missed out on the whole mom-relationship experience, and wonder what it would have been like to have a better relationship. ♥
Haha, well glad I could satisfy your curiosity! :) For real, though, if there's ever something you're curious about, feel free to ask. I'm always happy to answer questions or talk about/share things about my life. :)
