As I kind of expected would be the case, my trip to the border yesterday did not go 100% smoothly. First, when we got there (Rebecca came with me for company), I went into the immigration building and said I was there to apply for a work permit. If it helps at all, it's nice to hear that immigration is just as convoluted on that side of the border as it is here. ;)

Haha, yeah, from what I can gather, it seems to be pretty complicated on both sides. No one wants to make it easy for foreigners to enter their country.

Right? And the best part is, after I tried to just walk through the turnstile and back in the door to Canada and was sent across the bridge, the officers on the US side told me I didn't really have to come all the way across, I could have just gone through the turnstile and back in. :p
