The meeting with Nyota had left Leonard in an odd mood - though by no means simply bad - that undercurrent of embarrassed hilarity at his own (still inappropriate, damnit) reactions to her intermingling with the genuine concern for Christine, the reflections on how he would have felt like, in her position.
It was good then, that Bill was around, sprawled on their bed when Leonard entered the room. Not that he had been lying to Nyota when he'd said he was genuinely fine, but it was nevertheless a relief to be able to wrap his arms around Bill, to feel the solid reassurance of his body against his own.
"Reading anything interesting?" he asked by way of greeting, even as he nuzzled the back of his neck.
Leonard was in a good mood. Bill could only assume that this meant his apologies had been graciously accepted. He smiled, laying his arm over Leonard's where it rested across his body, and tangled their fingers.
"I'm learning about conjugation," he said, grinning at Leonard over his shoulder. "With regard to the Vulcan tongue." He squeezed Leonard's hand in his.

"What brought this on, then?" he asked, curiously. And couldn't quite resist clinging a little more closely, just for a moment.
"You know that I'm glad to have you, yeah?"
It might have seemed random, but it wasn't, not really.

"And yes, I am. But it's always nice to hear it again."
