Why this week has been made of rainbows and kittens...

I have attended several hilarious and brilliant Cabin Pressure recordings (with guest stars such as Anthony Head, Mark Williams and Tom Goodman-Hill!), succeeded in buying good seats for a Josh Groban concert in October and I have been to the Game of Thrones preview screening which had a Q/A with Sean Bean and Harry Lloyd. However the one thing ( Read more... )

YAAAAAAY FOR PERMANENCY! I was getting worried D: And in awe of how long you managed to stay there. Your savings account must have been awesome.

Even if the pay is awful, you can apply for higher paying jobs now with a bit more ease. Having it on your resume that you're currently working always looks good :)

Thanks so much <3 My savings account is (well was) not that impressive but I just barely spent any money other than on rent :) Plus I have had a bit of temp work, though very sporadic and mostly the last few months.

And yes that are my thoughts exactly! :D At least I have a job in the right field now, gaining experience and it will look awesome on my CV!

Bad pay is better than no pay, right? ;)

I also just wanted to tell you that there is a guy on my flist that started out in a job like that, ended up writing the articles, and now is screenwriting tv shows so I can honestly tell you that (although he is in a different country than you) the potential to rise onwards and upwards is there. It's a foot in the door so while you're there keep your eye open and let your prospects be known.

Once again, congrats hon. I'm so glad you scored such an awesome role! *HUGZ*

Definitely true. And I am very happy with the job don't get me wrong but the pay is the only (though big) downside to it.

I am fairly certain this job also involves writing though the usual progression is to go from writing to editing so I skipped a step and the guy on your flist did it backwards :P I eventually want to get into book editing myself (YEARS from now though) :)

Thanks so much ♥
