Not so sure if the bit with the Queen really was a joke, it definitely would explain her behaviour towards him in The Shakespeare Code. :)

I've seen quite a lot of discussion about the identity of the Time Lady who voted against the plan. There are quite a few possibilities that would fit, his mother being one of them. I'm still leaning towards his granddaughter, simply because that would be lovely. <3
I guess for now she can be whoever we want her to be.

Anyway! *flails at picspam* *flails at episode*

I always assumed that was a reaction still to what happened in Tooth and Claw? After all she seemed really pissed afterwards and even created the Torchwood Institute.

Yeah by now I've read more reviews and I saw people mention Susan (that's his granddaughter, right?). I don't know anything about old Who though, so do you know why she's important? Other than the obvious family connection, there just seemed to be more there.

That was Queen Victoria, the queen in Shakespeare Code and the one he was referring to in End of Time was Elizabeth I, also known as the Virgin Queen (but according to the Doctor that nickname no longer fits... XD).

I can't really think of anything besides the family connection, which should be a strong enough reason considering that the Doctor had thought he'd never see anyone from Gallifrey again. I mean, he left her on Earth because she had fallen in love with a human guy (heartbreaking goodbye was heartbreaking), and he thought she'd be happy there, so if the Time Lords really called everyone, including her, back to fight in the Time War then I might want to kick them even more now. /pointless rambling XD

D'uh, of course >.< O honestly thought it was just a thing from the Queens but then I realised that in Voyage of the Damned the opposite occured.

I mean, he left her on Earth because she had fallen in love with a human guy (heartbreaking goodbye was heartbreaking), and he thought she'd be happy there
Oh man, if it's her than that would make it extra sad. :( The Doctor thought she was well taken care off only to find her locked inside Time War as well.

I don't understand how she could stay on earth though because she was in love with a human, as she wouldn't age but he would? Unless she fobwatched herself?
