Some days just sucked. Connor knew this. Knowledge didn't make the latest Shitty Day any less dreadful. Everything had gone downhill, from his phone waking him at 4-bloody-30 in the morning for an anomaly, to realizing all his underwear were in the wash, to wallowing about in prehistoric mud trying very hard not to stare at a very wet, scantily clad Captain Ryan. Then Ryan called out,
"Rainbow!"
Baffled, Connor looked around, wondering if this was supposed to be some discrete sign that Ryan was gay or something. Then he looked up and saw it - shining bright against the ancient sky, a rainbow upside-down, looking just like a smile.
