I'm excited for this week. I feel like we're down to girls that can actually model now -- so it is going to be interesting to see how this pans out. Still wished Canada's Next Top Model had more episodes each season, oh well. At this point I think my favorites would have to be Nikita, Meaghan, and maybe Heather. Maryam is overrated for me.

Too bad I am from Ohio, and have to wait for the episode to come up on youtube.

Did Nikita just jump at Rebeccah being eliminated? Aw hell no. That girl needs to learn to be nice like now, thanks.

I loved Rebeccah...because she reminded me of myself. Only even if she was the one with the confidence and social issues in the house, she still had more confidence than I do, because she could go out there and model at all. I would never be able to do that. I admire her having held her own as best as she could for these weeks, and I hope she finds a great path to follow in life. And I hope that nobody talks shit about her, because she doesn't deserve that. Rebeccah, good job. You went far in the competition. <3

I teared up a little when they showed Nikita jumping, seriously. Every bad thing the other girls have said about Rebeccah has felt like an insult to me because I related to her so much. These last two episodes killed me a little.

The judges made the right choice again this week. I reckon the Linsay might end up being eliminated next, unless Maryam's passport issue proves to be the last straw for the judges..

And I'm so happy with Meaghan's progression! Meaghan FTW!

The whole "Rebeccah is a lesbian" thing should have been explored a bit more, I think. It went a long way in explaining why she felt so awkward this whole time, and maybe also why she felt so disengaged from the rest of the girls.

Also, it renewed my hatred for Nikita. When someone that young is still coming to terms with their sexual identity -- on a reality TV show no less! -- the last thing they need is a judgy bitch with ugly bangs cheering for her defeat.

Um, no. Why? Did they explore the heterosexual girls' sexuality?

It went a long way in explaining why she felt so awkward this whole time, and maybe also why she felt so disengaged from the rest of the girls.Again, no. What does her sexuality have to do with her mental health issues (which it was EXTREMELY clear she has ( ... )

For the record, I'm usually very very angered by things that come across as "judgmental of homosexual people" to me, and I didn't get that vibe from her comment.

If anything, it seemed to be the second time that a possibility for something big that could bring in ratings (being honest here) ended very abruptly on this show (first, there could have been more drama between the groups of girls living in two separate rooms from episode one, and second, they could have pumped Rebeccah for more on this in her interviews), but in this case I'm even more thrilled about it now that I give it some thought. If they don't consider someone being lesbian to be a big enough deal to make it a ratings thing anymore, then that says something about...Canadian television producers? Canada? Someone. Whoever it is, I like them. The day when no one's sexuality is a "big deal" to anyone will be a happy day.

I still don't think her comment was judgmental, but if anything that point - that it didn't really need to be "explored" - could have been brought up ( ... )

And sorry for the slight tl;dr, but it just felt like you were jumping on the original commenter a little, and that didn't really seem necessary to me when she wasn't being horrible or anything.

I said "although I think your heart's in the right place..." and "rather" judgmental - which is hardly "jumping" on anyone. It's pretty diffident, actually.

IA that none of us can know for sure whethre or not R is just fine with her sexuality or not, but judging by her behaviour on the show (which is all we have to go by) she seems just fine with it. To assume that her anxiety issues are rooted in her (homo)sexuality seems a bit on the homophobic side to me - of ir not homophobic, then yes, "judgmental" or falsely sympathetic ("oh those poor homos") - after all, is she presuming that the other, presumably hetero sexual girls who also admit to suffering from anxiety issues are having said suffering because of their sexuality? Inequal is not cool ( ... )
