So it's been about 3 months since I last updated about my pregnancy. Yup, nothing like keeping an accurate record! I'll just start with today and work my way back.

I went for my 36 week appointment at the OB today. And my blood pressure was high. *sigh* I'm ( Read more... )

What I can't get over is how full-on 2 year olds are all the time!! Now that I am home with Alastair, he is there constantly. He follows me around the house everywhere and wants to do everything I do. Plus all of the usual "What's that mommy?" Or calling me constantly until I answer. It gets intense and everything takes extra time because you have a toddler helping you. And the patience that is involved is unreal. Lou is a big help, but he has still never had the two kids on his own at home or in the car and I am waiting for that day! As I posted, I am finding this tough because I do like my space and I have a hard time being "on" all the time - I know, I should be good at that because I am a teacher and I have to be "on" in my job all the time too. But I find it mentally, emotionally and physically exhausting. There have many times that I wished I was back at work (I never wished that when I was home with Alastair as a baby). I am sad to read the part about Chris. I don't understand acting like it was the world to spend a few hours with your son. That is sad. Have you guys talked about this? I'm sure you have but maybe an actual counselor/therapist would give him a wake-up call. I really hope he wakes up about it soon though.

The side shot of you now is cute! Doesn't look like 45 lbs to me at all!

I'm so sorry about your BP :o( Hopefully it was just a one time deal. Try not to stress about it too much during your next appointment if you can.

Oh wow, my heart breaks for the lady in your class who lost her baby at 39 weeks. I could not even imagine carrying a baby for so long and find out that he/she had passed. Caleb was always very active so I didn't need to do kick counts. In these cases, definitely better to err on the side of caution. Glad to hear everything was ok with the lil' girl :o)

I don't think Steve really understood how much work Caleb was until I started working all day every weekend during my photo gigs. After that, he had a new appreciation for things!
