I didn't watch Friday's episode but have been watching more. Was Carter in last night's episode? How the hell did Lois get to Egypt in the first place? (I saw last week's episode, see.)

So Darkseid, eh? Any screencaps showing what he looks like? Because I was NOT impressed with what they did with Deadshot. And who's in the Suicide Squad at this point?

Sorry for the barrage of questions. Questions. I has them.

No, but Carter will be back for one more episode mid-season. Lois went to Egypt on assignment.

Yeah, Darksied. Right now he's just a bunch of dark dust that dustplodes into EVIL CROWS or something. He infected SV's version of Glorious Godfrey this week. This is the only look we've seen of him in "real" form, though that's still just dust, too.

SS, for the moment, is Rick Flag, Deadshot and Plastique.

Yeah, I'm not happy about... that entire last paragraph of yours either. I can't face palm loud enough. But hopefully it'll get less... rocky. As time goes by.

I wanted to strangle Oliver three ways from Sunday lmao, but I really do feel like this is going to end terribly for him. That's just his role in life. To show us What Not To Do. So Clark can learn from his stupid mistakes.

I also agree re: use of Godfrey but that seems a pretty standard Smallville move to make. HEY LETS THROW THIS GUY IN HERE TOO SO THAT HE WAS IN HERE :D even if it's... utterly irrelevant to his actual character. Oh well. /pats show

I happily ignored a lot of this as a Lois RPer who got shamelessly pandered to, though. Aside from Ollie's dickishness.

It was a wierd episode that could have worked if they'd only made a few changes to the screenplay, which was really quite dreadful. I thought Kara came across as quite arrogant for example - and since when would she and Jor-El get along with each other. They really SHOULD be setting up that the darned AI is infected, because that's the only way its actions make any kind of sense.

It doesn't help that the writers seem to have forgotten that the Jor-El in the Fortress isn't Jor-El. At the most he's Jor-El's memories, personality and voice telepathically embedded into an artificial intelligence that is programmed with a specific mission but also programmed to react to Clark based on Jor-El's memories/personality. That doesn't make him a person (or a ghost) and doesn't mean that Clark and Kara etc. should always listen to him.

//SO STOP CALLING IT "DARKNESS" JUST BECAUSE YOUR VILLAIN IS DARKSEID, SHOW. Also, it might help if you don't utterly contradict yourself by chastising Clark for "pride" in the season premiere when he starts to show an ounce of confidence if confidence is WHAT YOU WANT HIM TO ACHIEVE.//

Preach it.

I'm over here from the svledger and the writers really do need to define their emotions properly as you are right the darkness Clark has isn't darkness it is doubts and I did wonder where this pride thing was coming from. It's like they are just stalling again to get another season out of it and decorating it with story. They didn't think what pure of spirit means because someone could be pure but lack confidence but by their reckoning Darkseid could still possess them. Maybe from the beginning they should have just said he prays on people with doubts not "darkness ( ... )
