We Have a Hotel!
I just spoke with the event coordinator for the Toronto Holiday Inn and we're still firming up the details of the contract, but...
\o/ \o/ \o/ CanCon 2008 is a Go! \o/ \o/ \o/
The CanCon 2008 Action Team (aka me and meresy) will make a big info post about the mini-con soon with specifics about hotel information and airport transportation options, and we'll begin to figure out the specifics of the attendance cap and registration costs.
What I'd like to do now is take a poll to gauge interest and see who's determined to attend, who's still mulling it over, and who thinks a trip to Canada should involve snowshoes and dogsleds and NOT a Holiday Inn in Toronto. I'd also like to get some sense of everyone's desire to attend some of the RCW 139 events. There's a lot going on at RCW (it's a major due South con, held for the first time since 1999) and I sort of conceived our smaller LJ-based convention to work around RCW, if people were interested in attending but didn't quite gel with the bigger convention's style of fannish interaction.
Anyway, because I love them dearly, here's the poll to figure out your attendance plans and feelings about RCW.
