Aeryn is up for a while by the time she finally leaves the cabin, waiting by the entrance for a moment just in case anyone comes out of the one next door.

And look, someone does come out of the cabin, yawning and stretching and still looking half asleep.

"Hey," he says, wandering over.

"Hi," she says, taking a couple more steps toward him. "Too early for you?"

"Everything is too early for me," he says and reaches out to give her a hug. "Hi honey. How're you?"

Only John gets to hug her like this. She will make exceptions for the hugging thing sometimes, but he's the only one who can do it like this. She wraps her arms around him, kissing him lightly. "I'm all right. You?"
