Rory caught sight of a tall, familiar figure heading into a room a couple doors down from her own, and ducked back into 213 to grab her phone. By the time she was in the hall again, however, Aeryn had shut the door.
So she opted to go over and knock. "Aeryn? It's Rory."
She's almost tempted to just ignore it because she really is in that sort of mood, and by the sounds of it, people know she's here. At least everyone wouldn't be surprised when she showed up in class tomorrow.
"Hi," Rory replied, smiling. She held off on the hug, because Aeryn just really did not seem like she was in the mood for one. "Um, so...I heard you came back. Is everything all right? And I have more animal pictures. John was a seahorse and a puffin. Oh, and a hat."
On one hand, Aeryn's vaguely annoyed that this was what John was doing while she was shooting at things, but at the same time, there are important questions that need to be asked, such as, "Does he just walk into the room and get turned into something at this point?"
"No," she says, taking a seat on the bed. "Though that did absolutely nothing to help my defense. That was... what's the phrase? Nail in the coffin? After that, they weren't really intent on listening to anything I had to say."
So she opted to go over and knock. "Aeryn? It's Rory."

She opens the door and manages a "Hi."

But she still lets Rory in and closes the door. "It was supposed to be. There was a change of plans," she says.

Rory tried to process this, and thought back to her conversation with John the other night.
"Is it because they found out about you and John?"
