It's late, so sorry if I can't explain myself well, but I just wasn't hearing the voice. It didn't... mm. There were no layers to it, no secrecy, and maybe it's just the point at which I stopped following Bleach, but I definitely felt that that was a part of his character. I also didn't much like the paragraph aimed at Ichigo- it and your canon both felt very fandom-jokey to me.

actually, that paragraph was just a generalization. the last part with Ichigo was simply a joke/insult, added as an afterthought during the second draft.

Not at all! Let's see how coherent I can be. One, his app was really just a list that could be used for any camp. It might've been better if it was put into CFUD context.

Two, you had a few words that repeated in a space of one sentence. I get a little put off by that.

Three, I think the phrases that you chose to format into small font could've remained as they were. As I read small fonts as lines that a character didn't want others to hear, it left me wondering why Urahara would find the need to mutter those sentences.

Four, I'm guessing the Kurosaki reference was sort of a "In case you didn't notice, I'm talking about you, Ichigo" joke, but it kind of hit me like a brick flying out of nowhere.

Mason was an out - it just didn't sound like Mason to me. I read it a few times to be sure but I just wasn't getting it. And I heart Mason. Crowley I'm going to have to come back to when I'm not tired because I really, really liked them both. So abstaining there.

All others just generally abstaining 'cause I don't know the canons, but I will come back to them later if votes are needed.

I'm not sure what to say on the voice. I sat here for a while trying to think of a way to argue it, but I'm not sure I can. I could pull the "Talk IC Til You Agree" thing, but honestly, I'm not getting in whether you change your vote or not, and I'm resigned enough to this fact that it's hard to pull up the character. But thanks for critting. If I reapp, can I get you to beta?

Sure! I've never beta'd before though, so you might want to find someone else, too. But it will give me an excuse to watch DLM again. Not that I need the excuse, but hey. However, I must say that I've only seen the first season - it was never released on TV where I live and I've only been able to find the 1st season on DVD. It's tragic.

Sorry I took so long to reply, by the way. I'm not even sure if you'll get this but figured it can't hurt to try.

I'm glad you did! And it's fine that you took a while. I'm just glad you responded.

You really should get the second season. Loooooots of Mason moments, and some interesting changes. I was planning on pulling him from after second season, actually, which may be one reason why the voice sounds different.
