Wolfram - it was a good app but sounded too monotone in the rage category, but you have a nice style. Out.

Shounen Bat- The description was more humorous than the entry. Sorry, out.

Allen Walker- I just didn't get anything funny from it.

Mikage- I admit the dry tone will be hard to do but I love SKU and you seem like you could pull off the evil snark. In.

Kyou Sohma- Seemed out of character. Out.

Momoko- It was a really good entry, but there didn't seem to be anything that grabbed me. Sorry. Out.

Starfire- I think you captured toon!Starfire's voice perfectly. And I admit I'm desperate to see anyone a stone's throw from Impulse's universe. In!

Amelia- you're hilarious. Please, if there's justice you'll be admitted and push mamas_boy's buttons. In!

Hanajima- I think you could play off of Tohru well. In.

Serra- It looks like the same app, so it's the same vote. Sorry, out.

Yay go Juri! :D I'm just wondering if you got my second application or if I sent it too late last time? I think I sent if last Saturday afternoon. If you didn't, cam you let me know so I can re-send it again before tonight? :)Thanks!

There's another app for the same character you apped for, so it's in the duplicates folder, awaiting tomorrow. I'll let Biz deal with the characters that got triple-apped.

One more time, with feeling!

IN:
--Mikage. This is the Mikage I remember, and his incredible capacity to deny the obvious should be (and was in this app) funny.
--Starfire. YES. I love your Starfire voice. And I would love to see you and Lu Xun bonding over the Urban Dictionary.
--Amelia. Beautiful, beautiful Amelia. <3. Can't wait till she finds out who her "old friend" is. Regarding the -san, I'm just having Tohru call everyone -san too, for now, because it doesn't feel right to play her without it (also, she's stressed, and as far as I can tell she gets a little more formal when stressed). Since Amelia's a more westernized character, though, if you don't wanna use -san you could always use "Mr." or "Ms ( ... )

I'd totally app for Kyo Sohma, if I thought I could play him well. I can't for a Kyo to be accepted, since not only is he a cool character, but sooner or later his curse will be discovered, and then Utena can render him harmless by hugging an icky boy him, and eventually a cuteness addicted girl character will arrive who'll hug him and carry around his hissing, spitting, struggling cat-form around with her whenever she gets the chance.

It's too bad that Ayame can't be apped; he'd drive everyone crazyer. :-)

I would also love a Kyou (not that I haven't made that abundantly clear already). Yuki would be good too. Or heck, any of the Zodiac. Furuba fans of the world, hear my plea! Grant me... Momiji!

YES. Not just Ayame, either; I can think of so many characters who would be hilarious in this setting, and they're all adult. But if the RP accepted adults, it would be completely unmanageable, I think.

Though jeez I want an Ayame RIGHT NOW.

Just so you know, I sent in an app for Kyou tonight (five minutes before the midnight deadline). So, um, wish me luck? ^_^()

I can't vote (yet), but I'd like to give my complements to the Hana-chan application. I didn't notice her speach patterns to be that different from the official translations, and we can't all be dedicated enough fans to read the fan translations (or read Japanese directly). The only problem I saw was that, as far as I know, only Tohru uses the names "Uo-chan" and "Hana-chan"; everyone else calls them "Uotani" and "Hanajima".

So go for it, Saki! Protect Tohru-kun's virtue and show her your own not-quite-platonic form of love.

Thanks. I couldn't remember what she called Uo-chan; I'm not even sure she's ever addressed her by name. >_> It was stupid of me not to look it up before submitting my app...

I don't think I'm remembering right, but I had the impression that Tohru, Hanajima and Uotani were all "-chan" to each other: Tohru-chan, Hana-chan, Uo-chan. As I said, though, I don't remember well enough damn, I should refresh my FB canon knowledge before I get too much farther into this, huh?

I remembered to vote this time, go me!)

Wolfram- Greta is under strict orders to do you bodily harm. That just wins me over immediately. In.

Shonen Bat- Perhaps I didn't have enough canon to base it off of, but no. Out.

Allen - Too bland. Out.

Mikage - They seemed pleased that I have no next of kin. That's just a "Hee!" and a half right there. In.

Kyo - Oh, bebe. You could do so much more with a character like Kyo to play with. Out.

Momoko - Again, it could be lack of familiarity with canon, but nothing about it really struck me. Out.

Starfire - You nailed that voice. In.

Amelia - I know next to NOTHING about Slayers, but you have a really strong sense of character. In. (Don't worry about the "-san"s or anything. There's a definite thing to the honorifics that you can't really catch with a translation.)

Hanajima - I loved the bit about playing cards on the bus. In.

Serra - The postscript made me wince. Out.

Yeah, that's how I've always operated. But Amelia's a standard western fantasy character (Well, not exactly. But Slayers is pretty much set in a D&D world).

If it doesn't bug anyone else too much, though, I think I will do it. It just makes more sense that way.

It's just hard to catch certain nuances of the honorifics with English so I don't think anyone would hold it against you. Since you're basically in, I look forward to seeing your posts! Bravo!
