Are you hurt? Do you need to go to the hospital?

[muuuuutinous] I don't think... [she shrugs. now has her hands tucked tightly under her arms, like she's trying to resist temptation] - I'm fine here. [you have to go past all those yummy people to get to the hospital]

[she's kind of pacing in looping circles, and if you wait too long they'll start meandering a little too close to you]

Is there anything I can do to help?

[her eyes drift up to meet yours, like she's surprised to realize what she's been staring at is capable of speech, and she stares for a moment longer, her hands still pressed tightly against her ribs]

You should probably go.

Or what?

[oh, right. explanations. but it's hard to focus on that when so much closer at hand is the pulse beating under the lovely smooth skin of your neck, and the way you don't seem to be flinching as she drifts closer, and the smell of your hair...]

So I don't do something bad.

[this situation isn't creepy at all, really]

Bad...?

misswexler November 23 2011, 20:12:20 UTC
[no, not at all. totally ordinary invasion of personal space by a more-or-less passing acquaintance.

EMILY WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE HER THINK IT DISTRACTS HER FROM HER ATTEMPTS AT SELF-CONTROL. visibly tightens her posture, drawing in a deep - NO, WAIT, BACK UP, BAD IDEA SHALLOW - breath]

I don't know. I just don't think you'd like it.

[the amorphous feelings of want don't lead to fantasies of fulfilment that include a sense of audience participation. she's just feeling kind of mindless and intent]

[THIS IS ALL VERY CONFUSING IN SO MANY WAYS]

...fine. I still don't really understand, but if it's for the best, I guess I can go.

[SHE'S NOT MUCH CLEARER, SHE'S JUST MORE SINGLE-MINDED

and

btw

she's following you]
