Then, let me see-- There was cheese and wine in the mess hall on Tuesday night. I think it was very nice of this camp to take a break from serving up that vile soup.

Is that so? Sorry I missed it. What kind of cheese?

There were several kinds, all quite tasty. I particularly enjoyed the peppercorn.

Oh, uh, I'm not entirely sure. Not a whole lot, surely. It's been very quiet for me.

There's nothing wrong with quiet.

There is some value in it, yes. It can be helpful to have quiet moments in which to collect one's thoughts.

This is true. But only when you have loud moments interspersed between them.
