It seems that we have another camp "situation" on our hands. It's not always like this, though.

Yeah, I've been hearing a bit about that. How often does this kind of thing happen?

Every month or so, it seems. Some are quieter than others, some more busy. I've only been here for about four months, myself.

So you're new, but you've already met Victor, I see.

[ well that feels safe. good thing Josh is kind of used to that, so while his instincts are telling him to be a bit on alert at that extra attention and is now splitting his focus between Victor and you evenly, he's otherwise acting as polite and genial as always ]

Well, one good thing about back home is that you kind of get used to that level of activity for this sort of weirdness. Or as much as you can, I guess.

Victor and I are... well, were classmates and teammates, so we go back a ways.

"Were"? Is this some timeline issue?

Kind... of? Vic and a couple of our other friends are from a bit ahead of me in terms of the timeline. Mostly I just meant that the school we used to go to is now closed and I'm on a different team than him now.

[ there's some hesitation to be found around the word "team", in reference to the fact that X-Force isn't exactly what you would call a team but more of a secret espionage/assassination squad. tons of EXTREMELY unhappy and deeply conflicted emotions cloud his thoughts on it, but there's a very strong sense of secrecy that surrounds the memories proper. enough to make them quieter in his head, resting somewhere deep below the surface of his thoughts ]

Not that bad, then. Some things get really twisted up here. In fact, some of the others in that group, they're from entirely different realities, it seems.
