So I've been wondering.

How many people actually come from normal worlds? I'm not saying "normal" for you, because that's a load of crap. I'm saying worlds where people don't have magical powers or werewolves or Days of Our Lives type stories playing out like where you're buried alive ( Read more... )

... ah, I was simply wondering if I might ask for your assistance on something? It's not vital to be completed right now, but in the future.

I'm free now. What do you need?

Since September is coming to a close soon, I was thinking of outlining various methods to keep Camp's population safe from harm. I plan, at the very least, on announcing the potential of danger and to keep the populace as aware as possible... but I know that will not be enough. I am considering asking for bodyguard volunteers.

Generally speaking, dangerous things happen all the time during the month--it seems to be Camp's, ah, way to celebrate the season.

Ah, I see. How do you think bodyguards would help?

There are many who are incapable of defending themselves adequately who might benefit from having someone to escort them, particularly during the evenings. I think it would be too difficult to find bodyguards for everyone, but it is entirely possible to band together enough volunteers for those who are truly in need.

Are the dangers that occur in October preventable by just one person?

It's more that their unpredictability means that people who are alone are more vulnerable.

... I believe this to be the case due to my own experience during my first year here.

Then ... wouldn't be encouraging people to use a buddy system be just as effective?
