She's Kurt's mother and...she was the one who raised me. I guess. It's complicated. I've just gone through a lot of crap because of her. So has Kurt.

Forgive me, Rogue. It's simply troubling to hear about some of the things that all of you have had to go through.

Do you think that Kurt will be all right?

Kurt's...He thinks everyone can be redeemed. [He doesn't hate her like I do.]

And it's not like it's really her, so...I think he'll be fine. 'Specially since she's doing it for him.

If you're asking if I'm ok with Miss M over there then...well I know Kurt's still not comfortable being blue around everyone so it was nice and all I just wish it didn't give me a heart attack in the process. And I don't wanna start thinking I'm seeing her over my shoulder everywhere.

[she is now very aware of the fact that Mystique could show up around here as easily as anyone else and that slightly terrifies her]

I'll talk to her about it. But this is also a good reminder for us that anyone could appear here, at any time. On the positive side, it is a relatively stable, controlled environment, both physically and socially. It would be difficult for an individual to appear here and just start wreaking havoc.

I know that, she doesn't work like that. I just. I don't know what I'm gonna do if she shows up. I thought she was finally gone and I'd be done with her, but then Apocalypse happened and she came back and now I just don't know anymore.

There are many people in our lives that we'll never be done with, Rogue. Even after they leave. Sometimes we just have to learn to live with them.
