[After the soirée and the chaos that followed, one may have noticed that a new ride has inexplicably cropped up in the carnival: a pirate ship. It stands off to one side of the ferris wheel, operated by a single zombie. Booths with bags of peanuts sit off to the side, just waiting to be nabbed. And then, there is a sign near the ride that states: "

There's a space military operation that's decided to set up shop in camp in order to stop this place from going to hell. Like any military operation-which you probably recall, because of Dad-they're frustratingly tight-lipped most of the time about what it is, exactly, that they're doing. Some of them decide to play games. Others are ... just forced to deal with it.

This pirate ship is a part of their operations. I don't know if it's proof of their presence here in camp or a way to cement where they are, but uh ... we could go for a ride together. If you'd like.

I'm actually surprised they don't. Some of the people who run this thing don't like me.

She's petulant, let off a virus that's been hurting camp since April, and she makes fun of my shoulders.

What kind of virus?

It reacted to camp like a computer virus. Most of the time, it just turned people into things. But sometimes, people decided to go for a fight ...

It got worse.

Pretty much. And while I had the back of the people involved with the carnival, one of them was responsible for it. Apparently, she's not very good at following orders.

So how many of these freaks are there?

The Captain, the second-in-command, the pilots, the tactician, and the doctor. And there's a promise of more.
