What happens before someone leaves camp? There has to be some indicator for a person leaving.

Usually people just know. Either that, or camp boots them out forcibly.

From what I've gathered, there is no particular pattern. Something just happens.

Generally, that's true. I've had quite a few people I know leave. For almost all of them, they simply knew it was their time to go.

I tried to leave, after wrapping some things up.

I've tried to leave several times. Obviously it hasn't worked yet.

Why? I'm starting to think one has to either be really happy here, or undergo some great change, before they are allowed to leave.

Because I'm bored and I hate being confined to one world when I have no reason to be.

Join the "this is boring" club. It was fun during the honeymoon phase... so many different non-humans, robots, unique powers, different worlds... now none of it excites me.

Two years come summer.

It's been a little over three years for me. Time flies, I suppose.
