A bit of history about my world.

It looks fascinating. What sort of world are you from, if you don't mind me asking?

The general Earth sort, not that is clears anything up. I come from a place called Britain, if you've heard of it.

I've heard of it. This would be European history, then?

Got it in one. It's the part right before the Renaissance.

Not one I've studied much, myself. Is it an interest of yours?

[sharpasafawkes]

My field of study really, I'm a historian.

Ah, really? I haven't studied a great deal of this world's history yet myself, but what I've read so far quite interesting. It must be an exciting job.

Like you wouldn't believe. Enough excitement for a few lifetimes.

Sometimes you have to go through quite a bit to find the truth...

That sounds like a story.

Oh it is. Centuries of accounts, lost bits of culture, fabrications by their contemporaries, go back far enough and you start having a hard time picking out fact and myths.

It's always a challenge, isn't it. Do you work for your government, or someone else?

Oh no, these days I'm just freelance.
