... For a few different reasons.

It's easy enough to talk them into taking your laundry after some time and effort. But in this instance, doing it by hand is probably the better solution.

I'm incredibly sympathetic to your plight.

Your attempts to do your compatriots laundry have so far only ended up in you cutting one laundromat neatly in half, and you are now threatening the other machines with the remains of the one you destroyed. It seems to be working, but you can't be sure.
