...I'm divorced, you see. My ex-husband and I are still best friends though and even work together, which is why the counselor job. I'm still very much in love with him, and he has admitted to still having feelings for me, but he's currently in love with a friend of mine's brother.

Mmm....not really. Because at the end of the day, I want him to be happy no matter what. I'm just not the one that he needs, unfortunately. Still, I'm going to do everything in my power to support him, even if it means seeing him with someone else.

It's selfish, really. I love him and I want to be close to him and I want him to be happy. In the end, isn't it better to be his friend and have him around then to lose him completely?
