ITP: a brief respite from rain

Sep 10, 2010 10:23

[SO IT HAS BEEN RAINING and you know what comes after rain: rainbows worms.

A young boy seems to be collecting them]

--And I shall take this one back with me whole and sell it.

((workninja! idk I just wanted somewhere to play with further rain-antics
ETA: around~))

*a break in the rain means it's time to go through some sword kata, but he pauses when he notices the kid gathering worms*

*relaxing slightly*

I see. While my experience with fish is different from your own, I do not believe I would eat a creature such as you describe only because he resembles a source of food where I am from.

I think he would protest quite loudly.

Yes, I would hope so. Otherwise a fisherman might not realize he's made an error.

*...this is probably one of the stranger conversations he's had*

Oh, no, I think you would notice. The smallest of juvenile Yama are at least five feet in height. Full-grown they are seven or eight feet. You could not catch a Yama on accident, I would not think.

...That is impressive. The fish I normally cook are very small in comparison.

The Yama are very accomplished fighters, and well suited to the broadsword or hammer.

...I see.

Small enough to fit easily in my hand.

...That... is indeed very small. They would not be effective fighters, I do not think.

No. They are not meant to be.

Mm. So you've no Yama. Do you have other races besides Mitra?

leftintheright September 10 2010, 23:32:04 UTC
...Mitra?

...The race you and I are, I had assumed.

Humans, then.

We do not have the kind of variation you seem to have.

Hm. That seems as though it would be... lonely. Such lack of diversity.

There are many different kinds of humans.
