I suppose one could use it for that.

I had assumed that people would eat them, or use them to improve their equipment...

Well... I would certainly not dictate how you would use your own purchases, but most would either eat them or use the component parts to strengthen their weapons or armor...

They are very curious raptor chicks. Are you training them to know your scent, perhaps? Will you use them in hunting?

Perhaps it's body could be some sort of healing tonic if properly made?

Perhaps so, though I am no alchemist, and so could not confirm that.

Hardly. I am harvesting them so that others may eat them, or use them to improve their weapons.
