[today, out in one of the cornfields, it looks like someone's been hard at work! there's all these holes dug up, pawprints in the dirt, and in each hole is an upright clear white crystal. maybe it's quartz? who knows, it's pretty and shiny and therefore attracting the eye. trying to take it, though, that might not be so easy ...]
((Revival of an old camp classic: touch the crystal, and whoever touches the crystal after you will form a ~connection~ with you; you'll be able to hear/feel what the other is thinking/feeling.
