plot two (electric bugaloo)

[ we are only a few hours into the Sacrifice ritual, but it is very much evident that camp was spectacularly well-prepared to retaliate against the cult's forces. fighting tooth and nail, our heroes have laid down the camp law against their attackers. with the prisoners' release, aid against the cult has doubled. the weak are now protected by the strong. camp is coming together to defend itself, its residents forgetting differences and watching each others' backs without complaint.

camp is an extended family. in times of camp-wide violence, to quote a certain comm, people will mafia for everyone's ass.

but all the sharing and caring and rainbows of friendship will not matter against the next threat. there is a bellow in the distance. to the East, a mass, writhing shadow begins to descend down the hill, dodging between trees and boulders or outright tackling them over. a rancid smell fills the air as they approach. these are the Director's proposed mutants, and despite camp's proven capability to handle itself, they have been set loose upon the grounds to destroy every living being they can find.

the cultists almost all immediately fall to these snarling Hell beasts. they are large, fast, and persistent. perhaps most importantly, they are hungry.

the mystical fire started by the cultists has began to lose control. it spirals out of its boundary circle, the flames spreading wherever the wind takes them. the mess hall begins to smolder. the arts and crafts cabin could soon become a lost cause if the fire is not kept in check. Masqué's manor has already lit up like a matchstick, but at least everyone has already been evacuated from --

wait. you hear... the screams of children fill the air. they are coming from inside the house, possibly from its third and final story. the fire has become too severe, the smoke too thick to see in through its windows and judge the situation.

there are too many terrors to deal with and not enough time. do you run from the mutants? do you defend other campers from their attacks? the mess hall and the arts and crafts hut will be lost if people don't work together to tame that fire, and just look at how fast the flames are already spreading to the rest of camp. the people you heard still trapped inside the manor, what of them? are they a lost cause?

choose wisely, camp. perhaps it is not possible for everything (and everyone) to be saved tonight. ]

((Sorry this is late, I had to make an emergency gas run to help get my mother's car back home. Feel like running a terrifying mutant? Come hit me up in #jonestownpartyintheusa again. List what you are doing in the subject line so you can avoid a fight if you don't want one. o7 There is also the option of taking refuge if this scene is not your cup of tea. I heard there were pinatas~!

ETA: Action is on hold for plot. COME HELL OR HIGH WATER THIS IS FINISHING TONIGHT, sob.))
