[There is a young girl sitting out at a table in a clearing somewhere with a laptop on the table and a sign that reads:

Technological diagnostics and repairs*

*Repairs and original inanimate state of object not guaranteed.]

[She seems to be drumming her fingers on the table in a bored manner]

[is very interested in your laptop.

and his mechanized wagon is interested in you] Fido, give the girl her space.

[To the wagon]

[the wagon flashes some binary on its viewscreen (it's a very tricked out wagon, yes indeed)] Hi! Fetch or carry?

[Harper gives it a pat] Good boy, Fido.

[to Dairine] Not a bad way to pass the time. I try to fix the network myself, though Camp usually undoes the fixes, but hey!

Thanks, but I'm good.

I figure it's a Sisyphean task but idle hands and all that jazz.

Very helpful of you. Assuming you're doing it of your own free will, that is.

Being forced to do things is common here? But I am doing it of my own free will.

Apparently, yes. I've been fortunate enough not to have that experience yet, but it seems that nine times out of ten, when someone is sitting at a table with a sign volunteering some sort of service, it wasn't exactly that person's idea.

So I'm the one out of ten. I'm bored.
