I admit to some interest in these spell cards. Perhaps you could elaborate on their purpose?

They're fused together to create new Personae -- are you familiar with Persona users at all?

You could say that, maybe. What we do is to manifest different aspects of the psyche in a physical form -- we call those our Personae. But to bring a new one out for the first time, we usually need some help from Igor-san; he uses the spell cards for that.

Aspects of the psyche... ? Such manipulation sounds somewhat unstable.

It...can be. You always get better results by sticking to the aspects you're more compatible with, and sometimes Igor-san hits errors in the fusion process. But to someone with the experience to control it, it's pretty reliable.

Basically, yes. He helps us keep track of everything...he's a great help.

I'm a little reluctant to say anything is absolute.

But I believe it would take something extraordinary to shake the level of control I have over mine now.

What aspects do you specialize in?

We categorize them according to the major arcana of the tarot. Are you familiar with that at all?

Cards used to determine the future by those simple enough to fall for such ruses. They were a popular attraction at a few of our school's festivals. But others use them merely for the symbolism on the face.

You're a very practical person, aren't you?

My ruling arcana is the High Priestess. Interpretations can vary, of course, but it's generally linked to accessing one's unconscious self, trusting your inner voice, and being aware of a larger reality...guidance from within would be a nice short way to summarize it, I guess.

Ah, a low chance of coercion then. I would imagine other aspects would carry some measure of risk. The human psyche is not without its spectrum of morality.
