I'm pleased to announce that the Camp Fuck You Die branch of the Sakurazuka Veterinary Clinic is now open for business. I'm running wellness check-ups today, so feel free to stop in. The more I know about your pet now, the better I will be able to treat them in an emergency situation later. I'll also be available to answer any questions you may ( Read more... )

Come on Digby, it's just a precautionary visit! Nothing's going to happen to you, I promise!

So what exactly does a check-up entail? Other than poking and prodding.

Just a normal physical exam. I'll check his ears, eyes, teeth, feel his lymph nodes and abdomen, listen to his lungs and heart, and check his fur.

I'm just curious, what are your thoughts on the possibility of disease transmission here, what with all the unique wildlife residing in these campgrounds?

[continuing the exam, as he answers]

Higher than I would like. Fleas, ticks, and other parasites are always a risk, but I'd imagine that risk is increased here. I haven't seen any rabid animals, but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Not to mention all of the diseases unique to camp.

Digby's pretty resilient, but I'd rather not take any chances considering how important he is to our family. So do whatever needs to be done and we'll settle the bill somehow!

I'm willing to negotiate the bill. Most of the clinic expenses are paid by camp.

We have a friend in camp who might be cajoled into giving us a loan, and I could offer you a free slice of pie whenever you stop by The Pie Hole's pie stand?

Well, pie does sound like a good trade.
