[in the messhall, there is the usual crowd of people with the atmosphere of "swamp summer camp gone horror film"--so of course it's only natural that you meet up with some pretty odd people now and again, right?
and yes, you totally won't mind it if one of those weird people may or may not offer you bread, take your food, shyly mutter things, or ask if they can cut you. right?]
