Yeeah. Only it wasn't that simple. It was way, way more messed up than that.

The whole thing started on a high note, we'll go with that!

So these thieves were hired to kidnap a beautiful princess on the evening of her sixteenth birthday. And they had a brilliant plan! They would perform the most popular play in the kingdom before the Queen and the Princess, and while while the "actors" were on stage, the two best thieves in the band would sneak into the castle and steal her away.

But their plan hit a snag. The princess was clever, and planning to escape the castle that very night!

So she was gone before you got there? Or did something else happen?

Catch on quick, don't you? I met her coming up the stairs as she was going down. It was the weirdest feeling of my life. And I've met my share of pretty girls before--but this one was different. I dunno, it was just something about her.

Anyway, then she led me on a chase all around the palace grounds.

Haah. That's a meeting, all right.

Yeah, then she jumped off a turret and swung herself onto our airship. Not the kinda princess I always read about.
