[Somewhere, in some high-traffic, visible area of camp, there stands a man. He is not a happy man, for he is attached to a rather impressive looking set of leg irons. Said leg irons are attached via heavy chain to a concrete pylon, all underneath a cheerful banner that proclaims, "Expand Your Horizons: Teach ( Read more... )

Show you what I can do...?

[Takes a 100 yen coin from her pocket and tosses it in the air. As it falls back down, she claps her hands around it.]

Abracadabra, alakazam!

[With a flourish, she shows off both palms to you. The coin is no where to be seen!]

..heh? Oi, do I look like the sort of guy who just hands out information? I mean, if you want to learn come on and learn, but you can't just go around expecting everyone to tell you everything! It's not my fault if you end up learning to be assertive without knowing it. Geez--

this, I mean this must be why they made me come out here and do this in the first place. Punk kids who can't even figure things out for themselves. Nn, but you kno~ow, if they'd left me free then I could really really really teach you punks the harshness of life.

Your job is to teach according to the sign, and teachers are supposed to educate! That means answering questions sometimes. After all~ how was I supposed to guess you're supposed to teach assertiveness?

And if Camp's got you chained, it's 'cause it doesn't trust you to do your assignmed job properly.

Hn. I was doing my job. I've been working all week, chasing after you punks and making sure you don't get too comfortable. I mean, if they're not going to give me specific instructions then I'm going to just go out and work. How was I supposed to know she wanted talking?

you know, kid, if you don't speak up, someone might think you're okay with all this. If you don't speak up, someone might think you're going to just lay down and let people walk all over you. They might think you wouldn't even fight back if someone tried to kill you. If you don't speak up-- [rushes you]

[...until he hits the end of his chain]

...well, something like that, anyway.

Well, well, it really is a place for reunions, though not exactly one I expected to see again. I do figure that means you survived. Probably, this place is special like that.

[Walking over to stand just outside of your reach with the chain]

Ah! But you must have survived! It would mean I made the right choice in not fighting her. The deal's still good if I decided to keep it, which really doesn't have to happen, since the train came in safely. I suppose you're off the hook for now. Aren't you happy?
