In the messhall

Are you sure it's edible?

I suppose we could feed it to passerbys and find out.

I guess it should be safe as long as we follow the recipe...

((If you're passing by the mess hall, you may notice two boys attempting to cook one of camp's famed toucans. You should stop by and try some. Is the toucan really edible? who knows! Blue is Ike, black is ( Read more... )

They're a bit stringy, but edible enough, I should think. Though camp does have a tendency to interfere.

General e'Drien. I don't suppose you have anything more than that cryptic warning?

Occasionally, camp imbues food with transformative sorcery; similar to the "viruses" which occasionally spread. Only food prepared in the mess hall by the chefs who are employed there is guaranteed to be safe, as I understand. I've had the good fortune to avoid such transformations myself, when hunting, but I haven't done so since the Mess Hall was repaired.

......Perhaps I should test the food out on a test subject first then.

You'll forgive me if I don't immediately volunteer. Though I shouldn't wonder if you found a willing subject or two, today.

That's a shame. I wanted to see if your sword would be affected by the change too.

Should camp transform me at some point, I shall certainly answer your question.

I imagine it will be an interesting experience, though knowing camp it will be as inconvenient as possible.

...In the event that I am changed, what are the usual formulas for transforming back?

[also? using bread-jesus' bread, so this will turn out well]

I'm told that physical violence, being kissed, and being molested are the usual cures, though they're not guaranteed to be effective, as I understand.

*i-it is a recipe for extremely tasty disaster? not that Morrolan knows this*
