A friendly reminder, from the camp's brain surgeon Takano Miyo.

Feb 28, 2008 19:33

Now that alcohol is, albeit moderately, permitted again, I am taking the moment to remind counselors and campers alike not to indulge themselves too much.

Alcoholic beverages, while acting as a social lubricant and being a normal addition to social functions in many countries, has many unpleasant but avoidable side-effects. Especially when consumed in large amounts.

To be sure, such effects include, but are not limited to:

Loss, or otherwise impairment, of motor skills. (Incidentally, this includes impairment of the ability to drive a car or operate other machinery.)
Vision impairment.
Dehydration.
Entering a state of relaxation or cheerfulness.
Entering a state of surliness or anger.
Entering a state of depression or sadness.
Vomiting.
Brain damage.
Death.

And... what is that noise?

ETA: Nothing remarkable, to continue, as I've been reminded:

Addiction.
Lethargy.
Being a general immature pest.
Being flushed around the face.
Loss of pain response.

[OOC: Takano and Misato will both be attending to comments in this post! Please come bother them. ♥]
