*In a meadow somewhere in camp a skeleton is leaning against a tree, listening to the song coming from a seashell lying on the grass. The song, “Bringing Binks sake” has not made it to the anime yet so you’ll have to use your imagination is upbeat, lively and sung by a large choir of rowdy yet talented voices, and accompanied by the tunes of a piano and a whole stringinstrumental family. The skeleton simply stands there, listening to the merry song and nodding along with the music. Listening. Remembering.
Then the song begins to change. The voices disappear one by one, and as enough voices fade away, one can hear that each passing singer is followed by the sound of something falling to the ground. Soon all that can be heard are the instrumentals… until the violin abruptly stops and a familiar voice, the skeleton's own, softly rings out. *
…What’s the matter, just a quartet now?
*Then with another crash, the viola falls silent as well.*
…Trio…
*Followed by the cello…*
…Duet…
*And then at last, the double bass. Leaving only the sounds of a lonely piano and the low, stuttering sobs of its player …*
… Solo… why, it’s just, just the accompaniment left, eh?
*A strangled sound, the sound of one who tries to laugh at an unfunny joke rings out, followed by a few, small sobs… and then, the last instrument falls silent. All one can hear after that is the sound of howling winds and splashing waves.
The skeleton makes no move to pick up the seashell. He simply sits there...Listening. Remembering.*
((Winding down, down, down. I shall return in the morning to continue threads, but until then I wish you all a fond farewell for the evening. Good night, all and everyone!))
