Some even having plumbing, though I've seen no signs of even a septic system here, and given the quality of the earth and the profusion of underground caverns, I don't see any room for one.
At least, we hope the water doesn't come from the lake. Though with the proper filtration, purification, and treatment systems even that water could be made drinkable.
Well my house is self-contained, with solar grids on the roof and a water filtration system. I'm not connected to camp at all, but I still lost power during the blackout last month. Weird, huh?
...but my lab is underground, so it's hooked up to the generators down there.
Mmhm. The roof's made up of special panels that capture radiation from the sun and it's stored in tiny photovoltaic cells. The cells hold enough power to get me through a week without sunlight.
And the great thing is, when I want to move, I can just capsulate my house and drop it into my pocket~
