Throughout camp, a throbbing drumbeat can be heard. Wild and primitive, it beckons the listener to investigate, stirring a primal sort of curiosity, bypassing the brain.
The sound is easy to follow. It leads to a small clearing at the edge of the woods, where a flat rectangular box rests on a stump. Stones surround it like chairs, many of them.
With the drums pounding in time with your heart, quickening as you approach, it seems only natural to investigate. To lift the lid of the box, revealing a board and carved playing pieces.
Surely there can't be anything sinister about a board game.
Can there?
((Jumanji time! If you signed up to play, join #cfudjungle and show up through curiosity or compulsion. We'd like to do this in an orderly fashion, so that we die relatively painlessly. XD;;
Each player will roll the dice once; we'll figure out an order in IRC, but the character who rolls will tag the post with "[Character]'s Roll". Cuebattlemusic will then respond with a hazard, which EVERYONE gets to react to and play with. Hazards stick around until they run their course, are defeated or the game ends -- so if you roll, say, quicksand early? You're all stuck with quicksand for the rest of the game unless someone makes it go away somehow. We'll notify people in #cfudjungle when a new turn goes up.
When the game ends, all injuries, including fatal ones, are reversed. If you wanna do something cracky, go ahead, but that's the default.
Those of you who volunteered as bait, we have something special planned. We'll ping you when we need you. ^________^))
