Mr. Stephan Debussey is alive.

Discuss.

eta: "The Camp Director's fiance" may be more familiar to most of you. As for how we know, Mr. Wright, Ms. Mia Fey, Ms. Asuna Kagurazaka, and I spoke with him. ... as for how that was even possible, Ms. Mia Fey could probably explain it better than I could. His identity was confirmed ( Read more... )

So they both think the other is dead. Don't suppose you could convince him to come to Louisiana for tea and crumpets or something. My girlfriend bakes.

He said he had business to take care of. As I said, there is a lot more to this case than what we originally believed.

So he thinks she's dead, he's moved on... he couldn't have cared about her that much if he doesn't want to show up and prove he's alive.

Sorry, Mr Lawyer Man, but this getting information from you one piece at a time is sorta driving me batty. Did anybody take notes?

I have a recording of our conversation that I intend to transcribe in the morning. If you wish to help with the case and want to see it, stop by the office after this weekend, and one of us will share what we have. There's no point in anyone sitting on information at this moment.

Thanks. I'm not a lawyer or anything, but you can never have too many people brainstorming. And you look exhausted, man.

Mm. We're at a disadvantage in regards to our typical resources here, in any case. ... I can't deny that.

Go to sleep, it's not like we're gonna crack it and escape tonight.

Normally, I work with the police department on these cases. They gather the evidence, complete autopsy reports, interrogate witnesses -- the prosecutor has a hand in all of this, and I normally do even moreso than the usual prosecutor would, but not having that resource is rather disorienting. That aside, the lack of the "hard evidence" that investigators supposedly found seven years ago is ... irritating.

Mm.

...yeah, we've got cops, but no one to question without your seances. I still want to come by and take a look, after I re-read the research notes. Which I think I've managed to put in order, by the way. Believe it or not, I've got some experience in cases with practically no evidence. Sometimes there are other things to notice.

Stop by after Sunday, then. If I'm not around, Wright should be.

My friends have met him, I haven't. But that makes you Edgeworth?

That's correct. Miles Edgeworth, prosecutor in the, er, Debussey "murder" case.

........you've gone from prosecuter to detective, just like the rest of us, I think. We can't have a trial without witnesses and defendants and stuff.
