Not all that obscure, at least, for my people. It's a wizarding sport. Play it on brooms...er, flying brooms. Pretty wicked and definitely the best sp...wizard sport there is.

We don't exactly go about broadcasting our present in bustling Muggle cities. And the Ministry of Magic takes great pains to make sure we're never found out. They depend a lot on Obliviating, or so I hear.
