[if you'd been in the woods for the past couple of days, you might have seen a certain tree wandering around and poking at the barrier. it would have been obvious that he wasn't going to get through. but he's tenacious. if you stayed around - or wandered in and out - you might have noticed him tracing out glowing, Arabic-looking words and laying them down in a circle, then shaking all over, erasing parts of the long sentence, and starting again. it took a while before he was satisfied, but he was done as of five minutes ago. and yet, if you were still in the vicinity, you might have heard a soft rustling of wind through leaves - though there was no wind in the area - and seen the tree start to glow. there would have been a feeling of intense listening, of great anticipation, as if the universe was leaning close in to listen...]
