Thank you so much for your lovely comment! I’m so glad you enjoyed it.

The idea for the whole Space!AU came about months ago when I did a Firefly/Serenity rewatch and then went to everyone I knew in fandom begging for a Firefly!AU. I only found, like, two and it made me sad. So yes, Firefly is by far the biggest influence and inspiration for the fic. (Followed by aspects of Farscape, SGA/SG-1, and Seaquest DSV. Basically, awesome people on awesome ships for the most part.)

I really love bringing in bits of canon and twisting it to fit an AU ‘verse and I’m so relieved to know those are being being enjoyed by the readers.
