Good luck with recruiting duty! I've heard that's a TOUGH job. (Though easier for the Marines than the other branches, at least!)

Thank you!
Since he signed up to do this, we're hoping we get the area that we want to be by our families. It's tough, but since he's a career Marine he needs to get a b-billet done.

oh, right. My husband wants to go career as well, but he'd rather go DI than recruiter. He loves drill, heh.

Welcome! My husband is currently infantry, but I'm hoping that he'll look into being an MP because I think he'd like it a little better. But that's only if he re-ups.
Good luck with the recruiting! Do you know where you guys would be moving to?

Honestly, MP schedual is terrible. I miss the infantry days (minus the deployments). I hate him being an MP, he's either working nights or away at a school, or training on off days. It's ridiculous, and my husband HATES his job. He says it's the worst thing he's ever done and wishes so much he could take it back. Half the reason he's doing his b-billet is to get out of his unit. It's something your husband needs to look VERY carefully into before making that decision!

MP is very hard on families, so be careful! We are trying to move to Florida where my family is. That's where we want anyways, but the needs of the Marine Corps always comes first, so who knows where we'll end up!

MP was one of the things my husband was throwing around as a new MOS he'd like to switch to if he reenlisted and it was the only one I though he would really like. He used to be security forces, so I'm used to a crappy schedule (he would be gone for weeks, or only home on weekends or be told he's got a 96 only to have only five hours off before being called back in), but I don't want to go through that again!

I hope that you guys are stationed close to home and not in the middle of no where!
