House looked at Cameron oddly, a half smile on his face. He was trying to read what her motives were. It was harder here, in Silent Hill. They were all changed by this place, in more ways than one.
"You're.. concerned for me? And now why is that?" he asked, "is this your own concern, or on the advice of someone? Walter Sullivan, perhaps?"
"I am concerned for you. The last thing I need is you becoming a horrible monster. " Cameron was not lying when she said that. Yes he could be cranky. Yet she was not wanting to see a mutated house. Or one under a vampires control.
"You're too late. MUA-HA-HA!" He bugged out his eyes, did his best Bela Legosi laugh.
..and there ended the mirth. Straightfaced again, he added, "you should ask Foreman, I'm sure he'd believe there was no hope of you ever saving me from such a fate."
Someone had thoughtfully left a box of donuts for the Umbrella men, and House had confiscated it. He was perusing the leftovers with interest and finally selected a frosted one. "Oh, right," he said, after he had consumed a bite of it, "he's not here. Are you not even curious why?"

Baby and Ashley damaged so what was with a hospital where most of the staff was just that. Tainted by something, or some one.
The asylum doors never shut. The doctors are patients as well.
".. the fate of dragging Foreman into this as well? Don't worry. If I was going to get him I would have by now." House was intentionally missing her point. He was watching to see how she would take the correction.
And still not rolling back his sleeve. Maybe he was content enough with his blood as it was?
"So. We're negotiating now." House was amused. He poured himself some coffee. Sipped it. Made a face when he realised it was cold.
"Well, if there's one thing I know about negotiating it's that all things are based on a matter of leverage. It seems to me you don't have all that much to offer that I'd be interested in.." another sip of coffee anyway, "unless, of course, you do. So. Enlighten me. What's changed that you think can convince me to do something I have no interest in doing. By now you must know me well enough to know it's near to impossible to make me change my mind.."
"Plus no Cuddy to help persuade you. Not that that was effective. We both know that the chance of mutation is there. Can it really hurt if we prevent the mutations before they occur."
"I'll get you more coffee, there is a fresh batch."
"I appreciate the coffee," House agreed to her getting him fresh coffee, handing away his old cup, "and I suppose if you'd asked me nicely I might allow for one teeny blood sample.
However you already know I'm going to refuse treatment. For one, I've already heard. We're low on the vaccine. For another," again, he carefully watched her for reaction, "maybe I'm not afraid of the effects. For one? It's made my leg feel a lot better.
I think you're here because you're afraid of the vampire leaving infections in my blood, not the zombies. And you haven't asked me. I know that you're curious. Both of you are. However Chase doesn't deserve a reply. You might."

"What will it take for you to let me test your blood." Anything but sleep with the vampire. He spared Foreman from this hell. What made him special?

He sat on the edge of the desk, appraising her.
