Cameron made it back from Zoe's office to find several messages on his cellphone. He'd thrown it on his bed when he'd been in a rush to go beat up Dick. He grabbed an icepack from the mini fridge and winced as he held it to his cheek.

Taking a deep breath, he hit the speed number, fully expecting a scolding.

"Had something to do," he said evasively. Not that he expected it to work.

"Earned myself detention?" he offered.
