Room 223 - Morning

When Cameron had woken up that morning, Marybeth had been gone (and so was his t-shirt). He'd flailed and had gone looking until he realised that the dorms were scarily devoid of any children and when he listened to the radio, it finally registered that Marybeth was really gone again

"Is everything okay?" Veronica asked in greeting. Yeah, she was used to Cameron calling at early o'clock, but now that there was a child in the picture, she was allowed to worry.

[marsheadtilt]

Veronica smiled. "So we're going to have a daughter some day?"

[cameronmitchell]

"Apparently. A shirt stealing one at that," he paused. "Uh, some day not really soon right?"

[marsheadtilt]

"Okay, now that trait I will take full responsibility for," she said, chuckling. "And I don't know yet? I bought a test, but the pharmacist told me that it won't work until I'm at least 10 to 14 days pregnant. So I'm going to wait until next weekend to take it."

[cameronmitchell]

"I'm fairly certain it was just Fandom weirdness, though," he said, even if he didn't sound 'fairly certain'. "A lot of people had kids show up."

[marsheadtilt]

"Well, we definitely don't have a five year old, considering that I hadn't met you that long ago," Veronica pointed out. "I guess you didn't think to ask her what year she was born, huh?"

[cameronmitchell]

"I kind of didn't want to," he admitted. "She sounded happy and that's all that matters, right?" He'd already gotten too worked up about possible futures and this wasn't an all too bad one, so he'd take it as it comes.

[marsheadtilt]

"Definitely," she agreed. "And I'll take the test next weekend, just to be sure. What all trouble did she manage to get into, anyway?"

[cameronmitchell]

"Well she managed to grab my telephone and wake up Angel and Logan," Cameron said sheepishly.

[marsheadtilt]

Veronica couldn't help but laugh. "What did they say?"

[cameronmitchell]

"I'm not sure. I was sleeping for one half of the conversation and I was in the bathroom for the other," he said. "Probably about how she went 'sploring."

[marsheadtilt]

"Oh she did?" she asked. "So she knew Logan and Angel then?"

[cameronmitchell]

"She seemed to know a lot of people here," Cameron replied. "And some of the other kids too."

[marsheadtilt]

Veronica blinked. "Really? That's... interesting. I guess it means that we keep in touch with our friends though, which is a good thing."

[cameronmitchell]

"Yeah," Cameron said thoughtfully. "Oh uh, she drew something for you too."

[marsheadtilt]

"Awww, can you send it to me?" she asked. "Or, well, I guess you can just hold on to it until I see you next time. And I got the pictures you sent me the other day, she's got her daddy's eyes."
