Dorms & outside dorms, morning

Jan 13, 2006 14:59

The weather's been clearing lately and Cameron feels like maybe it's a good idea to actually leave the dorms. It's still cloudy, but it's not freezing for which he is grateful as he still doesn't have the money to get a winter coat like Liz adviced him.

((Feel free to run in to him on his way out or outside the dorms.))

"Good morning, sunshine," Elizabeth smiles at him. "Great minds think alike, huh?"

"Yeah, the junior boys do seem to be slacking in that respect," Elizabeth agreed. "Which is odd, as politics is still, unfortunately, male-dominated."

Cameron smirks and hopped into place. "We're setting a good example here."

"One would hope so. Just as long as you all actually vote. IF not, I swear I will lecture you on voting statistics until the cows come home."

"You know I'll vote," Cameron rolled his eyes at her for making him point out the obvious. "Run?"

She sighed. "I know you'll vote. Just make sure other people do too," she said, bouncing up and down on the spot for a couple of seconds. "Let's go."

As they set off running, Cameron glanced at Liz, grinning broadly. "So, did you just tell me to go bully people into voting and more specifically into voting for you?"

"No, I told you to bully people into voting, that's all," she said.

"You have to say that," Cameron teased.

She shook her head. "No, really. I just want to make sure people vote. So many don't, and if they can get into good habits in high school, then hopefully they'll pass on once they've graduated and their voting for people who can do more than organize a school dance."

"I know," Cameron assured her, giving up on the teasing. "Sorry, I'm being an idiot lately."

She shook her head. "Don't mind me. Apparently even when I don't really care about an election, it still stresses me out."

Cameron raised an eyebrow. "You don't care about the elections?"

"To be honest? Not as much as I probably should," she confessed.

"So why run and not just give yourself the time to relax and concentrate on what you really want to do?" Cameron asked.

"Because if I do decide to go into politics, how's it going to look when they find that I didn't even run for school council?" she said. "I'll be fine once it's all sorted. I guess the whole issues with running and stuff is getting me down at the moment."
