"Ma'am? Did something--" The young guard blinked in confusion at Sam for a minute, then checked the list on his clipboard, knowing better by now than to ask too many questions. When he saw their names and where they were expected, he snapped to attention and saluted. "Visitor's parking is on the left, Ma'am. Sir."
"I remember," Sam said under her breath, closing the window as he waved them through.
