Attention Luceti. If you look outside your front door sometime today, you will find a present. I hope you enjoy them.

[a second or two and then a bright happy smile]

Happy Pi Day!

So pie day? You give out pies to people? I like it~! And I assume this pie was from you! Mmmhmm! It's very good! [He needs to learn to not talk with a full mouth.]

Yes, it was by me. I don't cook a lot. This was good practice. I can crimp edges very nicely now. I'm glad you like it!

...You should not talk with your mouth full though. It is bad manners.

It's okay. It's not my business really. No one likes a nag.

[she smiles] I'm Cameron. [it looks like it takes physical restraint for her to keep from holding out her hand to shake at the book]

Wh-what festival is this?

[He is happily baffled over the pie.]

It is Pi Day. [she pauses] It's not really a festival. It's a... [she has to do a deep search for an appropriate word] geekism. Something not everyone celebrates. Today is March 14. Three point one four. The first three digits of pi.

So some people bake pies because they sound the same, and are baked in circles.

I think I could like this holiday if this is what it means.

Was that from you, then?

Yes. Circles are very important. They should be celebrated.

It is pie to celebrate Pi Day.

I'm glad you did. I'm Cameron.

T-thank you for the pie. [She was wondering where the mystery pie came from and was kind of scared to try to eat some. After all. Mystery pie.]

I, um, was wondering where it came from.

Then it is all right. Yours was the 251st. I got better at making them. I crimp the pie edges very nicely now.
